Login Problems

Activating your account

Before you can access MyLIBF, you are first required to activate your account. You do this by typing your LIBF number into the ‘LIBF number’ field in the ‘Account Activation’ box on MyLIBF’s login page and selecting ‘Activate’. You will then be taken through a series of steps to create a password and activate your account. You will also be asked to set up a memorable word, should you forget your password at a later date.

If you are unable to activate your account, one or more of the following may apply:

  • You have entered an invalid LIBF number.
  • An account has already been activated for the LIBF number you entered.
  • A date of birth is missing from the account (this is required to verify your account).
  • A postcode is missing from the account if in the UK (this is required to verify your account).
  • A country is missing from the account if outside of the UK (this is required to verify your account).

Forgotten your password

If you have forgotten your password, you can select the ‘Forgotten your password?’ link on the login page to reset it by entering your security details and memorable word.

If you are having problems either with activating your account or resetting your password, please contact Student and Customer Services on +44 (0) 1227 818609 or email customerservices@libf.ac.uk.

Resetting your account

If you have forgotten your password and the ‘memorable word’ process did not enable you to reset it, your account can be reset by contacting Student and Customer Services. Once reset you will be able to reactivate it by entering your LIBF number in the ‘Account Activation’ Box and selecting ‘Activate’. You will then be taken through a series of steps to create a password and activate your account. You will also be asked to set up a memorable word, should you forget your password at a later date.

If you are unable to activate your account, one or more of the following may apply:

  • You have entered an invalid LIBF number.
  • A date of birth is missing from the account (this is required to verify your account).
  • A postcode is missing from the account if in the UK (this is required to verify your account).
  • A country is missing from the account if outside of the UK (this is required to verify your account).

If you are sure that you are entering the correct LIBF number but cannot reactivate your account, please contact Student and Customer Services.
